Tina Stamelou was born in Greece but grew up in Great Britain, where she studied art and textiles and worked as a designer for, among others, the renowned Swiss textile company Christian Fischbacher.
More than 30 years ago, she moved to the company headquarters in St. Gallen and, together with her adult children, still lives in Switzerland today. Tina's passion now lies entirely with illustration. In her new works, she focuses on the beauty of nature, combining graceful plants, blossoms, leaves, and buds with birds, insects, and delicious ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine. A yellowfinch perched observantly on a lemon is just one of the many images that inspire Tina's creativity, and each of her works conveys feelings of joy and vibrancy.
